Flood017

Here we've gone back to the intersection in Carbonton and taken a right to go to Goldston. This shot is of the new bridge tht was built a few years ago. When they built this bridge, they raised it some 15 feet above the level of the previous bridge in an effort to keep it out of the water and keep the road open when it does flood. This water is from Indian Creek which flows from left to right in this shot. You can see the guard rails beside the road going down into the water and out, about the middle of the picture, you can make out the top 3 inches or so of the concrete bridge railings. I'm standing about 30 or 40 feet from the start of the bridge.
