This is the power generating station at the Lee/Chatham County line in North Carolina. The water is just above the normal flow level on the upriver side. You can see that there's been enough flow to raise the down river side of the dam to the same level as the up river side. Normally, the difference between the two is some 15 to 20 feet or so...
